The founders

Our Appmatics founders Ayk and Christian know each other since they worked in the gaming and e-sports world. They desired to found a company together early on. 

The lack of good solutions for software testing was the deciding moment for Appmatics. The company was founded in April 2014 with the vision of professional, customized QA solutions.

Over time, our team and range of services has grown: manual testing, test automation, user research, IoT, agile and accessibility testing as well as QA consulting are specialities.

With over 200 employees, Ayk and Christian's idea has grown into a motivated team, which works together closely.

Our history

We started small and have continued to grow. We currently have over 200 employees on 2,500 square meters.

FOUNDATION
April 2014

Ayk and Christian start to found Appmatics and move into the first office at "Friesenplatz" in Cologne with a few working students.

The first members of the team are permanent and some are staying: Carlo and Bene now lead our sales and project management teams.

New departments and a larger team require more space. Our team works together in our large office in Cologne-Bickendorf.

Our name

When we explain Appmatics, we often say: we test all software, not just apps, but also websites and IoT.  The "app" in our name stands for applications and "matics" refers to our processes and our structured approach to testing. Above all, however, our name stands for a motivated team of QA experts.
