Procedure and solution
This enabled us to support the Yello team with quality assurance:
1.) Together to the release: The test start
At the start of the project, we worked with Yello to define the scope of the testing tasks. A dedicated team of experienced test analysts and testers was then put together.
2.) Testing processes in the (power) circuit: The test phase
Testing and release processes were optimized through joint workshops with our partner. Our test analysts took ownership of maintaining the test plans in Azure DevOps. The test cases were written in Gherkin syntax in preparation for test automation. Regular regression tests on a large pool of devices ensured that OS or device-specific bugs were quickly identified and fixed. We were also able to advise Yello on QA issues and defect management strategies.
3.) Happy end-to-end: The result
Thanks to the good cooperation with our partner and the extensive testing processes, the release of the new app was successful. Over the course of the project, the Yello team's awareness of testing was raised, and the development process was driven forward.
